Archives of the College consist of campus publications such as newsletters, bulletins, catalogs, yearbooks, handbooks, and directories; clippings, photographs, memoranda, press releases, reports, minutes, calendars, course lists, contracts, bylaws, programs, flyers, commencement speeches, and other items pertaining to the Middle States Association, the Nassau Community College Foundation, the Board of Trustees, administrative offices, college-wide committees, faculty, students, the Academic Senate (previously known as the Faculty Senate), the Nassau Community College Federation of Teachers, various academic departments, and the A. Holly Patterson Library; scrapbooks of clippings on the College and Mitchel Field, 1953-1989; faculty publications and writings; and audio tapes of cultural programs, commencements, and Board of Trustee meetings. Materials relating to the history of the College date back to 1936 with items from a citizens' committee interested in a public college in Nassau County.
